British Columbia’s transportation network is increasingly threatened by climate change, as shown by recent extreme weather events that have damaged infrastructure and disrupted key corridors. With limited funding and a vast inventory of roads, bridges, and culverts, the BC Ministry of Transportation and Transit (MoTT) recognizes that traditional, asset-by-asset adaptation is no longer viable.
